I’ve given my Poetry of Life page a fresh new look—one that reflects the journey that has shaped my life.

I began my Army career as a soldier serving with the British Commando Forces, where resilience, teamwork and professionalism were part of everyday life. Later in my military service, I transferred into Army Catering, eventually qualifying as a Master Chef. While my role changed, my purpose never did. Whether carrying a bergen or preparing meals in a field kitchen, it was always about serving the men and women beside me.

Today, I’ve exchanged my rifle and chef’s knife for a fountain pen. Where I once helped sustain the body with good food, I now try to nourish the mind and soul through poetry. Looking back, I realise these two passions aren’t so different. Both require dedication, creativity and, above all, a desire to give something meaningful to others.

The new banners on my page bring those chapters together—soldier, Army chef and now poet. They tell the story of where I’ve been and who I am today.

Thank you to everyone who continues to follow my writing. I hope the new look captures not only my love of poetry, but also the journey that inspired it.
