Between Dawn and Dusk

Morning breaks—the world wakes up,
Soft colours rising in skies above.
The air feels rich with promise and light,
As day steps forward, bold in its stride.

The sun climbs high with a warming glow,
On fields and forests its light will show.
Rivers and streams catch golden beams,
My life awakens in hope and dreams.

But day moves on—as it always will,
The sky turns soft, and the world grows still.
Shades of pink in fading light,
As day steps down and gives way to night.

The pace slows down, the noise grows thin,
A quieter world begins within.
A time to rest, a time to think,
To stand awhile on the turning ink.

Stars appear in the darkened sky,
Silent watchers, steady and high.
Guiding thoughts through the calm of night,
Where my dreams are born and I take flight.

A time to reflect on paths I’ve made,
On steps I’ve taken, the choices laid.
In stillness found, in shadows deep,
My soul finds space to rest and sleep.

Day and night—two sides of time,
Each with a rhythm, each with a rhyme.
From morning’s fire to evening’s peace,
A turning wheel that will not cease.

I climb these stairs that time has made,
Through light and dark, through sun and shade.
For every step, both high and low,
Is part of the life I will come to know.

My rhythmic reflection on the journey from morning to night—capturing the energy of day, the calm of evening, and the quiet moments where we pause, reflect, and begin again.

Quiet Freedom

“Stand firm in who you are, even when the room leans the other way—because true freedom isn’t loud; it lives quietly in the choices no one sees.”
