Moments of my life, told through poetry.

I began scribbling at fifteen, when I joined the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Artillery.  Instead of writing letters home, I documented my experiences in notes that later became story fragments.

After twenty-five years of service, returning to civilian life was a profound shock.  I felt like an outsider, struggling to understand the perspectives and seemingly narrow worldview of those who hadn’t shared my experiences. Their lifestyle, their views and perceptions of the world, how short sighted they all seemed to me, they had no real understanding of the world they lived in.

In recent years, while awareness seems to have grown, opinions are often shaped by a media landscape driven by profit, sometimes at the expense of truth and human cost.

My first poem, reflecting on the media, resonated online, inspiring me to write more.  This led me back to my old notes, which I’ve been transforming into poetry ever since.  This site is the result. I hope you enjoy my rough and ready style.

Reflections on Life

“Words become the wings of imagination, as the poet weaves tales that transport readers to faraway lands, igniting their spirits to embark on their own bold escapades.”

“Conquering treacherous terrains demands both physical and mental fortitude, as a true adventurer never backs down from a challenge.”
