By Paul Baldry

In a meadow lush and green,
Beneath the summer sun’s warm sheen,
Two young hearts, so pure and bright,
Walked together, day and night.

The school bells silent, summer’s call,
Brought them to this grassy sprawl,
Where flowers bloomed and breezes played,
In the golden light, they stayed.

Hand in hand, yet words unspoken,
Love so deep, a silent token,
Eyes would meet, then quickly part,
Fearful of revealing heart.

Laughter echoed, soft and sweet,
As they wandered, bare of feet,
Through the fields of dreams untold,
In the warmth of summer’s hold.

Each glance a secret, each touch a thrill,
In the meadow, time stood still,
Two souls dancing, shy and free,
In love, yet silent, as can be.

The sun dipped low, the day grew old,
Yet their story, still untold,
In the meadow, love did stay,
Waiting for the words to say.

Reflections on Life

“Words become the wings of imagination, as the poet weaves tales that transport readers to faraway lands, igniting their spirits to embark on their own bold escapades.”

“Conquering treacherous terrains demands both physical and mental fortitude, as a true adventurer never backs down from a challenge.”
